Measures on How to Clean and Maintain Your Refrigerator
Your refrigerator is a food storage appliance. This is necessary to keep the food fresh and edible. This appliance requires cleaning and maintenance to prevent premature failure.
Cleaning your refrigerator can be a challenge when you don’t know what to do. Here are some measures you can take:
Step 1:
Unplug the refrigerator for monthly cleaning. If your machine has two doors, open the main door first. This is where you put your food. When cleaning the inside, make sure it does not close.
Step 2:
Take out the contents of the refrigerator. Separate the contents for easy disposal. When the appliance is empty, you can start cleaning.
Step 3:
Mix detergent with water until foam appears. Put this cleaning solution in a container. Get a clean sponge or towel. Use this cleaning solution to remove stains from the refrigerator. Clean each compartment of the appliance.
Step 4:
If the stains have already been removed, rinse the sponge or towel with clean water. Use a damp sponge or towel to remove any detergent residue.
Step 5:
Try cleaning the moldy parts of the appliance with vinegar, baking soda, and water. Just mix one part vinegar, one part baking soda, and two parts water and clean the moldy parts of the refrigerator with this cleaning solution. Let the cleaning solution sit for 30 minutes to an hour before cleaning.
Step 6:
Also clean the water compartment at the bottom of the refrigerator. Water usually drips into a compartment at the bottom of the appliance. Extract the tray and discharge the dirty water. This may be a place to grow mosquitoes.
Step 7:
If your refrigerator has a freezer, clean it in the same way as the main refrigerator door. Remove any excess water and ice if your freezer is a non-freezing refrigerator.
Step 8:
Return the contents of the refrigerator. Be sure to wipe the bottom and sides of bottles like ketchup to avoid staining. Secure firmly to prevent spillage. Remove expired utensils and products.
Step 9:
Take a feather vacuum cleaner and clean it of the build-up of cobwebs on the back of the refrigerator. Hot air comes out easily if nothing is disturbing to it.
